Oregon!...Day 5

We got up, checked out of the hotel, and worked our way up the coast to Tillamook.
Our first stop was the cheese factory.  We love that place.

I'm not sure if the fun part is taking pictures...

Or watching them make the cheese....

Or sampling the cheese...

Or eating ice cream.

Bosten & Kaden had orange sherbet.
Kyle had chocolate mudslide.
I had chocolate peanut butter.

It was that good.

Then, were off to Grandpa Fred's and Grandma Patty's.  We chatted, Kaden played with the kittens, ate lunch and then headed out to pick blueberries.  We were at the very end of the season, but there were still enough to get a bucket full.  Fresh blueberries off of the vine are fabulous.

We played games the rest of the afternoon.

Then, it was off to the Tillamook County fair.  We looked around, played in the kids area, rode a few carnival rides, got dinner, and waited for the Pig/Ford races.

The Pig/Ford races were hilarious.  Seriously.  The boys loved it.

Did I mention we got to meet Curious George?  Totally amazing.

After the fair, we went back to the house to roast marshmallows on the deck.  Its one of the things we do when we go to their house, so we didn't want to not do it.  We surprised Freddie with cupcakes too, since he'll be turning 85 in September, and we won't be there to help him celebrate.

It was one of the best days of our entire trip.
