updating and more lemonade

We've been working on updating our 72 hour kits.  Kaden participated in the Utah ShakeOut at school, so we thought it was a good time to talk about it and make sure we had what we needed.  The only problem with this project, is that everything is a mess.  Driving me crazy.  I've got piles all over with stuff to rotate, stuff that needs to go in, medicines, paperwork, clothes, etc.

Funny how I only took a picture of the extra stuff, and not the essential stuff...although, in a real emergency I would be really happy that the boys had something to do.

We had another lemonade stand last weekend, this time down at my sister's house.  Bosten and Bailey had a soccer game in the afternoon, so we went early to do the stand first.  This one was a little fancier.

 We had lemonade, soda...

 ...and chocolate!

We even had a picnic on the front lawn.

silver dragons

Today was Bosten's first soccer game.
It was so fun.
Watching 3 year olds play is hysterical.

I have no idea what he's doing.  But, he does look pretty great in his uniform and shades.

Warm ups.

 And there they go!

 Part of the cheering section:

 Break time!

He's playing with Bailey, which is super awesome (as you can see by his thumbs up).

He was hot and tired by the end, but had a great time.
Go silver dragons!

lemonade

Kaden has been dying to have a lemonade stand for almost a year.  For one reason or another it hasn't ever worked out....and if Kaden has a lemonade stand, that means Mom and Bosten are having one too.

It was nice this week (well, one day was pretty nice), so I told him we could do it.
I was worried about having anyone stop.
We don't live on a busy street, plus it wasn't Saturday when people would be more likely to be out and about.

Isn't he the cutest?

 He made his own sign.

He was beyond thrilled when we had several people stop.  We have great neighbors.

He let Bosten take a turn selling lemonade too.

Bosten thought it was pretty great.

Kaden ended up making $13 for his efforts, and was completely thrilled.  He's saving all of his money right now, so he was happy to add it to his bank.  I guarantee we'll be doing this again.

easter

The boys were so excited for Easter!  In fact, the night before they were willing to go to bed at 5pm so that there would be plenty of time for the Easter bunny to do his thing.

Kaden informed us that the Easter bunny knew that he was 7 now, and so was starting to be tricky where he hid stuff.  Funny kid.

Our eggs had jelly beans and money in them!

They got a new movie, fish crackers, some treats, and Star Wars helmets.

May the force be with you.

Then, we hurried to get ready for church and celebrate the true meaning of Easter.

We didn't have cute new Easter outfits, and the boys were dying to change their clothes as soon as we got home.  The rest of the day was really low key.  We hung out at home, had dinner at home, and got ready for the new week.
