not scary at all

We went to the new Disney movie, Monsters University.

It was not scary at all, and in fact, we loved it.
So fun.

scout camp

Kaden had scout camp last week.  He was pretty excited to go, and even more excited that Dad worked it out to go with him.

They got to shoot bows and arrows, make cool stuff, run an obstacle course, plus a whole bunch of other super great stuff.

fathers day

We were happy to celebrate Father's Day around here, because the boys have the best Daddy!

We made him breakfast and got him a new watch (Bosten's idea, Kaden picked it out).

Then, it was off to stake conference in the regional center.  We snuck out a few minutes early to go down to
my parents house for a BBQ.  On the menu this time was Tri-tip, baked beans, potato salad, green salad,
fruit, rolls and treats.  Of course, there was a game of kickball with all of the kids and their dads too.

A fun day to celebrate how much we love our Daddio.

play ball!

Baseball season has finally begun.  Kaden has been so excited and has been asking for several weeks when it would be starting.  Kyle said he would be willing to be an assistant coach, but was actually assigned to be the head coach.  Kaden was/is completely thrilled and told me it was a dream come true to have Dad coach.

We went and got new baseball shoes, and one of our neighbors gave him a sweet baseball bag (it even had a couple of bats and balls in it).  We were set.

We've had 2 games so far, and its been so, so fun!

i scream, you scream

We have been dying, I mean dying to be home when the ice cream truck rolls through our neighborhood.
Last year, we didn't get to do it at all and so we were determined that this wasn't going to be the deal for this year.

You can imagine, how completely excited the boys were the other day when I heard the music and yelled to them that the truck was in the neighborhood.

Oh man.

It was so worth the wait.
Check one thing off our summer bucket list.

bring on summer

We had our first sno-cones of the season...

...which made for some great blue lips!

We went to Kaysville and tried "the world's best foot long corn dog".  The boys loved them.  We thought they were as good as the ones in Disneyland.

Bosten found a slug on the sidewalk coming home from a walk.

We've been playing a lot of games.

We went to get more paint the other day, and the nice guy let Bosten help push buttons and stand behind the counter.  Bosten thought it was super awesome and now considers himself a paint expert.

I helped at field day with my favorite first grader.  I had the tug of war station.

Bosten and I walked with Kaden's class to the park for a picnic and playing with friends.

Last day of school!

Kaden and Mr. Mueller

We went out for dinner on the last day of school to celebrate.  I had to take a picture of Kaden's empty mac and cheese bowl.  His appetite is terrible in general (through no fault of his own), and usually he takes a  couple of bites and says he's full.  So, it was a big deal that he ate so well.

Goofball.

Who needs a horse when you have an older brother?

back at it

This year, for our family scrapbook I decided to do digital layouts for Project Life.
I've been doing Project Life for a couple of years (using Shutterfly), but thought I'd try this route this year to see how I liked it.

Here's January:

I decided on the Kraft edition, and I love it.  Its been so easy and it doesn't take very long...two important factors.  Stay tuned for more...
