our little comedian

Bosten has been so funny lately.

-Here's his knock, knock joke (and he says the whole thing):
"Knock, Knock.
Who's There.
Underwear!"

-When he's running he'll say:
"Run for your life!"

-When he wants something he'll ask by saying:
"Pllleeease.  Pretty please with sugar."

-We ask him to do something and he'll say:
"NEVER!"

-He climbs up into Daddy's spot and says:
"Its my spot now...HAHAHAHA!"
(with an evil little laugh)

Where does he come up with this stuff?

best. hot dog. ever.

What could be cooler or more exciting than a regular hot dog?
How about a hot dog that's also a car?!

That's right, the Oscar Mayer Weinermobile was in town yesterday.  We had to go check it out, and we are so glad that we did.

We took our picture with it, checked out the inside, got stickers and had to have a hot dog.
Kaden informed me that it was the
best. hot dog. ever.

He just may be right.

the museum

We went to Salt Lake this week to go to the church history museum.

We had a great time looking at everything, but it was even better when we got to play (and touch stuff).

We loved upstairs...we got to steer, and fish from, Nephi's boat, we made towers with big blocks, we cooked dinner for the missionaries, we planted a garden, and played on the computer.

We had a great time, and will for sure have to go again!

spotlight

Kaden got to do his spotlight this week:

Goofy kid.

He did all of the writing this year (which was exciting), and then we went over it with a pen.
I was happy to see some changes...especially the one that asks what he wants to be when he grows up!

Here's the low down on what it says.

Kaden is 6
 Favorite color:  blue
Favorite animal:  dog
Favorite food:  ribs

His favorite place:  Disneyland
When he grows up he wants to be:  Star Wars Guy
Favorite thing to do:  Play the Wii
If he had one wish:  Go to Grandma's House

ready for the madness

If you know us very well, you know that we're huge sports fans
(and huge might be an understatement).

When I saw this today, I knew we had to have one too!  Kaden and I thought it would be a fun surprise to do for Kyle, and it was fun doing the project together.

Supplies needed:
-painters tape
-printer (to print the teams logos and seed #)
-ruler
-a couple of hours

First, I measured our 64 strips of tape (I did mine 6 inches long).

Then we got to work.  I knew I wanted it high enough on the wall so that my mischievous 2 year old wouldn't rip it down.  I measured out the first set, and then just eyeballed it from there.

I followed the link from The R House to print the logos & seed #'s.  Cut them out.  Attached them to the bracket:

And there you have it.

Sweet.

ready for spring

I think I've mentioned this before....

We are sick of being sick!
(at least, I am)

We're in this vicious cycle and can't seem to escape it.

Actually, I guess I'm not the only one who feels this way, because yesterday I found Bosten in his room
putting a swim diaper on over his jammies!

This kid cracks us up!

spoiled

I have been celebrating my birthday pretty much all week.

Wednesday night I went to the #3 BYU vs. New Mexico game.  It was really fun to go with my parents and sister, plus it was a nice break.

The boys were super excited that I would finally be able to use the Christmas present they got me.

BYU car flags!  I let Kaden do the honors of attaching them to the windows, and he was thrilled.

Oh, and did I mention that BYU lost?!
Actually, they didn't just lose...they got trashed.
Sad (but still fun to go).

Thursday was my actual birthday.  What you might not know, was it was Kaden's "puppy" birthday too.
(Who knew).

Anyway, once he informed me of the big event, we decided we'd better celebrate the two birthdays together.  We went out for dinner, and then stopped and grabbed some treats from Cold Stone on the way home.

"Puppy" was the one who got the candle, but I can't tell you how happy it made Kaden.
So, it wasn't that big of deal and it made his day (and the treats were fantastic too!)

Friday night my parents came up and watched the kids so that Kyle and I could go on a date.
*GASP*
Yep, a real date.

The fun is still not over....later today we're going out with Ryan, Kerry and the kids to Brick Oven.  Yum!  Plus, it will be super fun to hang out with them.

I am a spoiled girl!

grrr...

I would have titled this post, "trouble", but that was the title of the last one!

Bosten is killing me lately.

KILLING ME.

Today I walk into our computer room/office and find:

How did this happen?!
What made him even think about doing this?

I'm so sad!
My great-grandpa built this for me a long, long time ago (and he passed away several years ago).

He thinks he's cute and funny and that it will save him.
He thinks, "Sorry Mama" will fix it.
I'm not so sure.
