food fun

One day the boys and I made and decorated sugar cookies.

We cleaned up that mess and then got to work on gingerbread houses.

Harper woke up just in time for a picture.
She's eyeballing that candy pretty good!

on my phone

Here are a couple of project Bosten did at school:

These two sure love each other.
Morning snuggles.

All dressed up in her Christmas outfit for church.

Hanging out with some of our favorite people.

Big girl sitting up in her chair.

layton lights

One afternoon, after school and homework, we headed up the long road to go out to dinner and check out some Christmas lights.  We took the kids to Training Table, which they thought was the best restaurant ever, mostly because they got to order with the telephone at our table.  After dinner, we went to Layton City Park to see the lights.

When we were done we went and got donuts.
Best. Night. Ever....according to these goofs.

2014 ornaments

The tradition lives on.  Here's our ornaments for this year:

Kyle's:
(Yay! He has a daughter.)

Mine:
(Loved visiting the OU campus on our Oklahoma trip)

Kaden's:
(fantastic baseball season and league tourney winner on the Phillies)

Bosten:
(started school)

Harper's:
(First Christmas)

We also had new ornaments this year from our trip to Oregon in the summer and from our Oklahoma trip.

this and that

I love kindergarten sentences.

Harper at 2 months:

She did really well with her first set of immunizations.  Of course, she cried, but was back to her happy self later in the afternoon.

I volunteer in Kaden's class on Fridays.  One of the things I do every week is correct spelling tests. This was a sweet surprise on the bottom of Kaden's test:

Bosten thought it was great to lay under the toy AND have a place to set the ipad.

This happy girl had that nasty purple medicine in her mouth for 3 days to get rid of thrush.

These two are great friends.

It was so great having park days in December!

Buddy, our elf, got himself in a little trouble one day.

I volunteer in Kindergarten when Daddy is home to stay Harper.

thanksgiving fun

We had a fun, full Thanksgiving week.
Tuesday, I helped in Kindergarten.  The kids had made vests, drums, and headbands.

We had no school on Wednesday, and went to the movie with all of the cousins.  My sister stayed home with her girls and Harper, but otherwise everyone was there.

Wednesday night, Daddy, Bosten and Harper went up to greet all of Kyle's family who had come into town.

We spent Thanksgiving with Kyle's family.  It was fun for all of the cousins to be together, fun for Kyle to have all of his brothers in town, and fun to have both Grandpa and Grandma here too.

The kids and dads had their annual trampoline dodge ball game. No one got hurt or cried this year.

Friday we went to lunch and hung out.

We all went to Iceberg before Grandpa had to take off.

Saturday was the Civil War. Even though we weren't in Oregon, we were still cheering for our Beavers (who got crushed).

Then, we met everyone at Temple Square to see the Christmas lights. It was crazy that we didn't have to wear coats.  We had a great time!

We had a great weekend, and have so much to be thankful for!
