Our newest toy

Kaden and I surprised Kyle with a Wii this week. He was totally shocked, and the boys have been having a great time. Kaden thinks he's so cool because he can do it all by himself. I tried to get a picture of him from the front playing his game, but he wouldn't be still long enough! Right now we've just got the game that comes with the Wii....Kaden's favorite has been golf but also plays boxing. I've seen Kyle playing tennis and golf. I've yet to play....its hard to get the boys to let someone else have a turn! :)

WALL-E

Kaden has been DYING to see Disney's new movie, WALL-E. I don't know where he even heard about it the first time, but he's been talking about it for weeks. Kyle happened to have today off, so we went on opening day. Kyle and I liked it...Kaden LOVED it! He was happy as a clam watching the movie and eating a bag of popcorn.

Cherry hill

A few months ago we decided to buy season splash passes to Cherry Hill. We figured it would be a hot summer, and it would give us something to do (plus replaces Papa and Mimi's pool that we miss!) This was the best decision we've made in a long time! :) Its close, and Kaden loves going. He is so fun to watch. Unfortunately, I haven't remembered to throw the camera in the bag with all of the other stuff we haul when we go (swimsuits, towels, sunscreen, sunglasses, dry clothes, snacks, water bottles, etc). so you'll just have to trust me when I say he LOVES it. I'll try and get some pictures up soon.

Little monkeys jumping on the bed

Kaden and Riley have had such a great time playing together this week! The other night we checked on them (after hearing BIG giggles) and saw that they'd taken off all the blankets on the bed and were jumping off....they told me they were being Batman and Spiderman. What fun for them to get to play together all week.

Papa's tractor

I love to ride Papa's tractor! I get so excited when he tells me that I can take a little drive. Sometimes my mom thinks I'm on a ride at Disneyland because I've got such a big grin on my face. Its been so fun to be in Oregon because I got to drive Papa around the yard 2 or 3 times. I'm so lucky.

Our day at the beach

Wow! We got SO LUCKY today with weather at the beach. It rained the whole way over there, and we thought we were going to have to jump out and run really fast to at least say that we'd been on the beach! But, it was sunny when we got there and we actually got to play. We played on the beach, ate really yummy chowder at Mo's and then went to visit Grandpa Fred and Grandma Patty. It was a really good day and everyone had a good time.

My little george

You've probably seen me reference Curious George a lot in this blog. Kaden is a HUGE fan (seriously, I mean huge) and I think that he thinks he's either George's best friend OR that he is George. I've heard things from him like "Mom, but George does it." or "I want to do this because George does." or "Mom, I'm just like George."

Honestly, there are times when I call him George. He acts just like him sometimes and even his expressions are George like. Who would have thought that I would have a little monkey!

I don't know why this surprised me, but today he informed me that he was going to go outside and swing in the trees. All I could do (besides laugh!) was tell him to have fun. :)

2 Peas in a pod

Kaden and I flew to Oregon today to play and visit. He was so excited to go to Papa and Mimi's house, but even more excited to get to hang out with Riley! They've been together pretty much all day-playing games, playing outside, went to the park, watched a movie, had snacks, etc. I think its been good for both of them as it was hard when we left for Utah last September (has it already been that long?!)
