brigham city temple

Last week we took the boys to the Brigham City temple open house.

Its always a good experience, and a fun family activity.

We were pretty excited to find out that we got to park and ride a bus up to the temple.

It was crowded....much more than any of the other open houses we've been to.  Our bus driver said they were expecting a record crowd of 22,000 that day.

After the tour, we got to have a cookie and a bottle of water.

It is a beautiful temple.

Another bus ride back to the car, before heading home.

Kaden's favorite part of the new temple:  the baptismal font
Bosten's favorite part of the new temple:  the bus ride and "the diamond lights"

the most wonderful time of the year...for real

Its my most favorite time of the year.

We've got our new game day t-shirts, the DVR is set for Herbie and the gang, and we are ready to go.

Go Cougars!

Go Beavers!
(and we still think Ducks eat poop!)

oregon... days 7,8,9

Wednesday morning it was time to get back on the road.  When we stopped to take a break, we were thrilled to see all of these Army trucks were doing the same thing.

The long road is long.

We finally made it to Baker City, to hang out with Kyle's brother and family.  We went out to dinner and then to Adam and Ang's softball game.

Thursday we went out to the farm.

The boys rode motorcycles, a 4 wheeler, and a horse (well, Bosten rode a horse).

We took a picnic to the park, went swimming, and then spent the rest of the day hanging out.

It was fun to hang out.  We don't see them nearly enough.

Friday, we were back in the car.  It was a really long day for everyone.
Best. Vacation. Ever.

oregon...day 6

Tuesday morning we went to the Tillamook Cheese Factory.

We love Tillamook cheese, and it was fun to see how its made.

It was even more fun to get to taste the cheese.

Having ice cream when we were done was pretty great too.

We decided to take a couple of pictures with Grandpa Fred:

In the afternoon, we went back to the beach:

We had been really bummed that we were too late for berry season.  I'd taken several containers with the hope of picking berries, and bringing some back to Utah.  My grandparents had blackberry bushes right across the street, so we were thrilled to pick them and have them for dinner.
