I took a road trip this weekend to Oregon to attend my grandma's funeral. We (as in my parents and siblings) all went together in one car. We left Sunday morning, and got home late Monday night. It was a LONG way to go, 9+ hours each way, but we're so glad that we had good weather and that we made it safely.
You wouldn't believe some of the things we talked about, mostly thanks to my brother. But, what else do you do when all you have is this to look at?!
We took my sister's SUV.

My parents and sisters...not sure why my brother didn't make it into any of the car pictures. It must have been because he was driving.
Anyway, the funeral was at the church in Hermiston, OR and then we went out to the cemetery following the service:
It was freezing at the cemetery. It was sunny though, and we weren't out there very long:
After the grave was dedicated, it was back to the church for lunch.
The menu was, of course, ham, baked potatoes, and green jello (along with lots of other stuff!)It was really good, and a fun chance to visit with some family before heading for home.

Looking at the pictures of your Grandma- what a beautie!! So glad you got to go with your family, and that you got there (and back) safely! That is a LONG drive for such a quick trip.
I can't believe you went and came back in that short of time!! It was nice you could all make the trip though even if it was so short and be with your family:)

I had to laugh when I looked at your pictures, not at your Grandma, she is beautiful, but that there is a picture of the HEARSE!! Only Kyle..... :D
Good thing you made it to your grandma’s funeral safely. It may have been a long trip, but I’m sure it was all worth attending the funeral and meeting up with a few relatives. I’m sure she was happy that you made it to her funeral. Btw, you have such a beautiful grandma. It’s no surprise the family got some of her good looks too.
