Random stuff from this week

Last weekend Kyle had a 3 day weekend. It was so nice! We had lots of ideas how to spend it, but ended up staying close to home as both boys were sick. We did try and get out on a walk and to the park (it was almost 70 degrees!)

March Madness is in full swing.

Kaden has been SO FUNNY watching the games with us. He's yelling at guys to "shoot the ball!" or "get the rebound" or lots of other stuff. (Wonder where he learned that?) His bracket is toast though....he picked BYU vs. Syracuse in the finals. Of course, he loves the Cougars (espeically since going to a game this season) and he loves the Orangemen too (for obvious reasons). Kyle and I's brackets are hanging in there. We're not at the bottom of the pack in any of them, so that's good...right?! Yahoo even has a second chance bracket that we're doing, so we'll see if that helps us out any.

On Monday we woke up to SNOW.

There wasn't tons, but enough to be excited about. I thought it was spring! When Kaden woke up we told him to look out the back window. He was thrilled to see the snow and said, "DAD, let's go see if there's snow out front too!" Silly kid.

Both boys are still sick (and now Kyle and I are too). I took Bosten to the doctor yesterday because he was pulling on both ears...yep, another double ear infection. Poor kid. He's had a rough couple of days.

He fell asleep in the carseat after SCREAMING most of the way home.

Finally, for most of our married life Kyle has informed me that his mom always made him a hot breakfast in the morning. My immediate reply?! "I'm not your mother!"

Its not that he expected it, but I'm sure he'd like it if I actually did it. (I always try and have pancakes in the freezer that I've made ahead, waffles, etc. that he can grab.). Anyway, yesterday I got about as close as I'm going to get:

I made a HUGE batch of scrambled eggs (with sausage, green peppers, cheese, and mushrooms), wrapped them in flour tortillas, and put them in the freezer. Now he also has breakfast burritos whenever he wants. All he has to do is pull one out, microwave it for about a minute, and he's got hot breakfast!

What a nice wife you are! I can barely get Artyom to down a cup of hot chocolate and I thrust him a fiber one bar as he rushes out the door. Maybe I should give the breakfast burrito idea a try...? OH and KUDOS to you on the "Im not your mother" Husbands need reminding of that from time to time.

Those double ear infections are the worst. Kurt has had a few. It's so hard to see them hurting.

I love the breakfast burrito idea!

So sorry that you have the sickies! Keep them at your house please;) I am also not a "mother" of my husband. He is lucky to have carnation breakfast drinks in the cupboard:) I can only be perfect in a few subjects! I do like all your "prep" foods though, your awesome. love ya
