Formula journey

We have had a heck of a time finding a formula that worked for Bosten. He has always been a spitty baby (so gross!), but sometimes it was worse than that. In fact, there have been several times where I've gone through EVERY SINGLE outfit and blanket we have. When we go to my moms for the day I've got the diaper bag stuffed with extra clothes and blankets, plus an extra bag too with the same stuff. You just never knew what to expect.

We started with this:

It came home from the hosptial with him. He seemed to have a hard time with it, so we switched when he was staying with David and Heather to:

It seemed to be a little better. Then we ran into issues with acid reflux, and the doctor recommended we try:

It is thicker and supposed to help them not spit as much. Not so, in my opinion. It was thicker, but also clogged the nipples of the bottles ALL THE TIME. We figured if it wasn't making that big of difference we'd switch to regular Enfamil, so that we could buy it in bigger quantities at Costco:

It was a little nicer on the budget (not much, but every little bit helps) but we didn't see much improvement with Bosten. Sometimes it was fine, other times large quantities would come up...even an hour or two later.

Tried this.

And this. Still not enough of a change to make me or Bosten happy.

Finally, I tried this one:

I'd looked at it before, but it says all over the can that its for "babies with fussiness or gas". That has never been our issue, so hadn't given it serious consideration. All I can say though is HALLELUJAH! Its a miracle! Seriously. I'm so happy with it. We used to have to burp Bos every ounce (and he still was spitty after all of that). Now, we only do it a couple of times for the whole bottle and it so great. We pretty much wear one outfit per day! I'm not saying he never does it anymore, but it is a thousand percent better. Really.

For people without kids or with non spitty babies they would think ...what the heck is the big deal. Now they know like 5 bottles later how big of a deal it is:)
