They say its just a wrinkle, but....

We were about an hour away from meeting at the LDSFS office to bring the baby home, when we got a call that they needed to see us ASAP. We knew something was up. Turns out the birth father has decided to cause trouble (there is other legal action going on and they say this is in retaliation). So, long story short they've got to track him down through the church's attorneys and get him to sign the relinquishment of his parental rights. They're not sure how long it will take. We can't proceed until this happens.
Kyle seems to be handling it ok, I'm a total wreck. Thank you in advance for your prayers. Please respect that at this time we don't want any visitors. Its hard enough to think about it let alone talk about it. We promise that we will keep you posted.
Kyle says it wouldn't be an adoption for us without drama and stress down to the last minute...I was thinking that it was nice for a change to have everything go well...that's what I get for thinking!

Good luck with everything, and if Kaden ever needs a playdate while you attend to whatever, I'm just across the street, and I've got boys just his size!

AAAAH! People are such jerks! Sorry, I had to lash out! I can't begin to imagine how this is making you feel. I'm sure I would be a total wreck too. You guys are in our prayers. Love you!

That stinks! We understand you don't want visitors at this time, but if you need to chat I'm just a phone call away. Take care and you betcha you are in our prayers.

I was at the temple with you in mind today, and am headed there again tomorrow. And we missed you at the trunk or treat. I hope Kaden brought home enough candy to not sleep for weeks.
