Feeling Lucky?

Feeling Lucky??
My sister had this posted on her blog and it sounded fun...although I have no idea yet what I am doing but I thought I would be a good sport and try this!! :) The first five people to respond to this post will get something made by me! My choice. For you. This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:
1. I make no guarantees that you will like what I make!
2. What I create will be just for you.
3. It'll be done this year. (sooner than later because I hate putting things off)
4. You have no clue what it's going to be. Who knows? Not you, that's for sure!
5. I reserve the right to do something extremely strange (but don't expect my gift to be too strange because I am not good at coming up with strange things :).
The catch? Oh, the catch is that you must repost this on your blog and offer the same to the first 5 people who do the same on your blog. The first 5 people to do so and leave a comment telling me they did win a FAB-U-LOUS homemade gift by me!
*Oh, and be sure to post a picture of what you win when you get it!

Bosten's turn

It seems like I've posted a lot lately about Kaden...so figured it was time for some new pictures of Bosten. He is the happiest baby! Well, that is until you try and take the bottle away from him....then he throws a total fit! He's still sleeping through the night for the most part, and we can't believe that he's 3 months old!

Just like daddy

Last week Kaden came home from Primary all excited because of this:

In case you can't read it, its an invitation for him to say the prayer in primary. He's been talking about it all week, and was so excited. As I'm getting him dressed and ready for church he says to me, "Mom, I need to have a tie like Dad." Where did he get that from?! All I can say its a good thing I had one! :)

What a handsome little boy. When it was time for Primary, we sat up in the front with everyone else that was participating that day. Even standing on the step he wasn't as tall as the podium! He started by himself, and then turned to me for help. He did a great job, but I am sure only the presidency (if that!) heard him as he was so quiet. When he was done he asked if he could do a talk next! Silly kid. We'll save that for another week.

Family canning

Yesterday we had our first family canning day! We decided months ago that it would be a good investment to have a dry pack canner. We all chipped in, and it has finally arrived! My dad went and got a load of #10 cans and we've all been accumulating stuff to can. Our goal is to have family canning day once a month. As you can see, EVERYONE really helped and participated:
We broke the spaghetti noodles and then let the kids put them into the cans.

My sisters making labels for the cans (dorks!)
Papa and Dave sealing the cans.

Mimi with Bosten and Bailey.

Notice how I'm not in any of the pictures?! I swear I was there and helped...I'm just the one usually with the camera! :)

Here's what we accomplished:

spaghetti noodles

rice.

pinto beans.

Go cougars, go cougars!

Notice how Kaden can't keep his eyes off the action to talk to the camera? And, we loved it every time the Cougars made a basket! So fun! :)

BYU basketball

Last night we took Kaden to his first BYU basketball game. He was so totally THRILLED! In fact, every two seconds (that's not an exaggeration!) he asked, "are we at BYU yet?". When we got to Provo we went to the bookstore and he got to pick out a candy from the candy counter and he got a new shirt. Then, it was off to the game.

Check out his new shirt!

Making a "Y" with his arms.

Riley (and Papa, Mimi, Lindz, and Cory) all met us there too.
We were a little worried when we didn't see Cosmo, but never fear he arrived and made everything that more exciting!
We had a GREAT time and can't wait to go again.
And, a BIG THANK YOU to Kacey for babysitting Bosten!

Project 365

I'm doing a new project this year (yeah, just like I need another project)! The idea is that instead of scrapbooking the big events...birthdays, places we go, holidays, etc. I try and capture more of our everyday life. I've been taking a picture everyday since I started and I'm really liking it so far. Instead of doing big layouts, the idea is that I just do a little journaling next to the picture and throw it into the albulm. Nice. Easy. Totally Doable. Here's a few of my pictures from the last couple of weeks:

You already know that this means we're sleeping through the night!
(He's still doing it, by the way!)

Kaden and I making cookies one day.

Bosten playing with his new Christmas toy.

Playing for hours (literally!) in the bathtub.

I upgraded my cell phone, so that means Kaden got my old one. He's "talking" to Daddy.

Kaden being sweet to Bosten. He really is a GREAT big brother and is such a great helper!

Some of my other favorites include both kids strapped in their carseats to head to Mimi and Papa's house, Kaden and his cousin playing soccer in the snow, Kaden on his bike and Bosten in the stroller for a walk, and Kaden asleep in our bed around 4pm (that's after INSISTING that he didn't need to take a nap...yeah, right!). Anyway, you get the idea.
