J is for jumping!

We took the kids to Jumpin' Jacks this week.

Kaden LOVED it.

Bosten was DYING to join in the fun.

Both of the boys were REALLY tired when we were done. So fun.

On the move

Bosten finally decided to take off this week:

He's pretty proud of himself....and Kaden is his biggest cheerleader.

Funny little monkey

Tonight Bosten and I were playing with toys on the floor. I took his pants off, and he wanted me to put them on his head (we've played this game before). Seriously, he was happy as could be and left them on for well over 30 minutes.

What a funny little monkey!

Risk, busted, and another rollercoaster ride

Kaden has been begging Kyle to play the "pirates game" for as long as we can remember. We've always told him he had to be big like Tanner (his cousin, who's 13), however, this week they broke it out. They've been playing their own made up version of the game and Kaden wants to play all the time!

Kaden was asked to say the prayer in Primary last week. He was so excited to do it, but bummed that he didn't get to talk. He obviously doesn't take after me in that regard!

I should have know that when it was quiet today and we couldn't find Bosten, that he was up to trouble. We hunted him down and found that he'd pulled all the books off the bookshelf. We've been cleaning around here and getting things ready for our home visit (for our home study) for Wednesday. Maybe he thought he was helping?!

His little face is funny. He knows he shouldn't be doing it (I've told him a million times), but obviously thinks he's funny.

After the home visit on Wednesday, our home study should be done!

I've been thinking a lot about this next adoption lately.

Been working on a gift for our next birth mother (last time I made the gift in 10 days...it was crazy and I'm going not doing that again).

We've passed out a ton of pass a long cards. We're so appreciative of all of you who are helping in our efforts! If you want another way to help, add our adoption button to your blog. Check it out on our sidebar....and thanks to those who've already done it. You rock!

I read a FABULOUS post today on the R House blog. Have you ever read her blog? If you haven't, you should. There have been many times where she expresses EXACTLY how I've been feeling. Today was no exception. Click here for a good read.

While that one was full of the miracles of their family, ours has had those same miracles. Last year was a hard year for our family. There was a lot of good too....so many that it could be its own post. We're excited to see what this new year will bring for our family. Adoption is such a roller coaster ride! It makes me really excited and really ready to throw up.

Seriously.

Just want you to know that we're strapped in and ready for the ride.

Practicing

Bosten was feeling pretty proud of himself last night for:

1. getting to the piano in the first place

2. banging on it and making music

Let's skate

This week Kaden started his skating lessons at the rec. center. He's been so excited and anxious for them to start!

They spent most of the time practicing getting up when they fall (which is a LOT) and holding out their arms and marching. Its harder than you think! Once class was over, Kaden stayed out on the ice by himself for at least 20 more minutes skating and practicing.

Oh, and did I mention that Bosten was dying to go out too?!

Not too shabby

Domestic diva, I am not.
Sure, I'm creative and crafty and can come up with some good ideas at least once in awhile. However, that's not kitchen genius. If I won the lottery (which I don't play), high on my list would be hiring someone to take over the kitchen....I can dream.

Anyway, for Christmas I got a Bosch mixer (yep, how spoiled am I!?!) and decided to break it out of the box today. I made bread with my mom this week at her house, but I think I still called her at least 10 times with questions. Honestly, I really had no idea what I was doing, but figured I'd give it a go and see what happened.

I didn't think to take pictures until I was almost done.
Its amazing that the above picture turned into:

Not too shabby for my first try.
