pioneer day fun

Handcart days in Bountiful are usually the 23rd and 24th, so we celebrated Pioneer Day for two days!

It was hot....so hot (like 102 degrees in the shade).

Kaden had a camera that squirted water, and he had a great time "taking pictures" of people in the crowd and those who were close enough in the parade.

Bosten wasn't feeling good after his allergy test (earlier in the day), so we bailed early and took him home.  I was praying we didn't end up in the ER in the middle of the night.  Thankfully, he had a good night's sleep and felt better in the morning.

So, we were off to the park for games, rides, activities, food and a play.

We took a little rest, and then spent the rest of the day at Cherry Hill.  We didn't buy passes this year, so this was our first trip of the summer.  We had a great time and it was a perfect way to spend the afternoon.

We are grateful for the pioneers and their sacrifices....
and for the holiday we get to have by living in Utah.
