Our adoption agency puts on a dinner each spring for birth mothers (ones who have placed, ones who are considering placing, and ones in the middle of the process). Its a big deal, although I wasn't aware of it until they asked me to be on the planning committee a few months ago.
My assignment was invitations, and I finished them this week. I was originally told I needed approximately 100, but the final count was 180.
The colors for the dinner this year are purple and orange, and part of the theme is "The Butterfly Effect".
This is what I came up with, and how it came together.
I had my sister cut butterflies out on her cricut:
I designed the invitation, and then had the agency print/cut for me:
