Confession:
I used to dread Mother's Day.
I was happy to celebrate and honor my mom (who by the way, is the best Mom and Mimi in the world),
but it also was an in your face reminder of what I desperately wanted to have, and didn't.
It was really, really hard.
Did you know that there's a Birth Mother's Day? Don't feel bad, I've only known about it for a couple of years. Somehow it seems fitting though, that we celebrate and honor them before Mother's Day.
I (we) are so grateful for our boys' birth mothers! I think about them all the time and pray for their happiness.
"Thank you" seems ridiculously insignificant for the selfless sacrifices they made, but they really do have our heartfelt thanks.
My journey to motherhood has not been an easy road, but I'm so grateful for these two miracles in my life:
It doesn't get any better than this.
Also...
I can't help but think and pray for our next birth mother.
I think about her often.
Please help us to find her.

You are an amazing mother Shelby. I admire your patience, creativity, and strength. Give those two cute boys a squeeze for me, and have a wonderful Mother's Day!
