best birthday ever (so far)

This is our birthday boy:

He says that he had the best day ever. I hope so. Kyle got to be home, so that was extra nice too. In the morning, Kyle and Kaden went on a date and went bowling. We let Bosten take an early nap and then we headed out for the day. Our first stop was Cabellas. Its so fun to see all the fish and shoot the guns:


Next we headed for Provo and Pirates Island (think Chuck E. Cheese...but its all pirates....just up our alley!) We had dinner and played lots of games.

As you can see, the boys (all 3 of them) had a great time. Finally, we headed back up to Riverton for some fun at my parents house. Kaden FINALLY got to open some gifts (he'd been dying to all day!), we did a pinata, and played a super heroes version of pin the tail on the donkey.

The only bummer is the red frosting for his spiderman cake was pink.

I'm not sure how 24 drops of red and 2 drops of blue food coloring turned into this (it was supposed to be really, really red). He didn't seem to mind though...

His birthday always reminds us of what a miracle he is for our family!
