graduation, round one

We went to Kaden's kindergarten graduation last week.
He was really nervous about it (and not interested), but after we went to practice he was good to go.

His teacher was AMAZING and we all loved her.  She was really good for Kaden, and truly was an answer to our prayers.

My parents came too.

 Here's our little family:

Cute brothers.

They sang several songs (which I'll have to upload from Kyle's phone later), and then got their certificates and caps.

Way to go, Kaden!  We are so proud of you.

fast fact friday #15

Questions:

Have you ever broken...
1.  A window?
2.  A bone?
3.  Someone's heart?
4.  Someone else's prized item?
5.  Your cell phone?

Answers:

1.  No.  But, we had one broken in December's windstorm.  Pretty exciting stuff around here (and a little scary).

2.  No.

3.  Pretty sure I did in high school once.

4.  Not that I know of.

5.  I've dropped them several times, but thankfully nothing happened.  One time I had one that stopped working.  Couldn't get it to turn on or anything.  Weird.  Good thing it was time to upgrade.

kindergarten luau party

Kaden had his kindergarten party this week, and we (Bos and I) went to help.

Of course, we dressed the part.

They did face painting, but Kaden wasn't interested at all.  The girl doing it was from our ward, and she talked him into a spider on his hand.

Bosten, on the other hand, was all for being turned into a puppy.

He seriously loved it.

We helped with the tiki cup race, but there were lots of other stations:  limbo, bean bag toss, fish-fish-shark, coconut bowling, crafts, etc.

We had pizza and popsicles when we were done.  Both of the boys thought it was the best kindergarten party ever.

project

I found this bad boy at D.I. a few weeks ago.  I forgot to take pictures of it all together before I started, but you get the idea.

Here's the dresser minus the drawers.

Here's the drawers coated with primer.

I decided to go with spray paint this time, even though I don't have tons of experience with spray paint.  Plus, I decided to glaze.  I for sure haven't done that before.  But, I figured it couldn't be that hard so I decided to go for it.

Here's how it turned out:

Spray paint, some glaze, and new hardware made a huge difference!

zoo field trip

Kaden got to go on another field trip this week.  They went to the zoo, and they went on a school bus.
Pretty exciting stuff.

Kyle had the day off, so they boys got to spend another day together.

Kaden, and his buddy checking everything out:

It was a fun day, and they had a great time!
Field trips are the best.

chalk festival

Last week was the sidewalk chalk festival here in town.  We decided to go check it out on Thursday night, since it was supposed to rain on Friday.

The artists were out and about working on their projects.

Bosten's primary teacher was doing one too.  He thought it was great that "my grill (girl) from Primary is here!"

They had a spot for the boys to create something too.

We loved it and had a great time.
