strawberries and hopscotch

Bosten had strawberries for the first time today. Actually, I think he ate them last year, but probably just doesn't remember them. They were a big hit. He'd put one in his mouth and would say, "Mmmm" or "Yum" every time.

They must taste better when you smash them all over your face (and the floor)!


Utah hasn't decided if it should be spring or not. We've had a few rounds of a couple of REALLY nice days, followed by a day or two of rain and SNOW. Kaden's had a great time playing outside on the "sun shiney" days and is dying to go out when its wet and cold. My solution?


Just needed some blue masking tape and a foam block to make indoor hopscotch (the wood floors helped too!). It may not be as good as being outside, but it still got the thumbs up.

family date night

Kyle came home from work and suggested a date to Kaden. He was excited, but even more excited when Bosten and I were invited too. We went to the new Boondocks and had a really good time playing miniature golf and a game of roller bowl.

What a fun way to spend a Saturday night!

I'm telling you, miracles happen!

(I'm telling you, HUGE bragging rights are on the line!)

I'm totally excited and totally talking trash about it...

In the 10 years we've been doing brackets this has never happened. It may not last, so I'm enjoying the moment!

spring fever

We've finally had some really great days around here! The boys (ok, me too) have had spring fever, and so one night after dinner we headed to the park.

So, so fun! It was really nice to get outside, and the ice cream afterwards was pretty nice too.

Today in preschool, Kaden was holding hands with Arcadia (who by the way, is a total cutie). It was SO FUNNY to watch them. When we got home tonight, Kyle asked him about it...

Kyle: "Were you holding hands with Arcadia today at school?"

Kaden: "Yes."

Kyle: "How come?"

Kaden: "Because she's my wife."

Kyle: Oh...(desperately trying not to laugh)...well, what does that mean?"

Kaden: "I have no idea. That's just what she told me. She kept saying it all day at school."

YIKES...and yet so funny!

balloon fun

With the birthdays the last few weeks, we've had some balloons hanging around. The boys have had lots of fun playing with them (even though they were sick)!

Its been fun have them around, and now I'm ready for them to go!...until the next birthday rolls around.

Not so good.

Definitely not so fun.

However, we ate Cafe Rio tonight to celebrate my birthday.

So it wasn't a total loss.
