5 year check up

Bosten had his check up a few days ago. He was really cute (and a little nervous) about the whole thing, but he did great.

He wanted to sit on my lap when we were waiting to get called back.

Just hanging out and waiting for the doctor.

He is in the 97th percentile for height, and 95th for weight. He officially passed Kaden for weight, but that wasn't surprising.

He had one immunization, and didn't even have one tear. What a big kid!
We are ready for kindergarten. Yikes!

yay for cousins

We went and watched Riley play basketball. We cheered really loud, especially when she was in the game.

We went and got slurpees afterwards and went to the park. It was cold, but fun.

ice ice baby

Last Friday, Kyle was off and Kaden had early out at school. It was sunny and 40 degrees, so we decided to go up Midway and check out the ice castle that we'd heard so much about.

It was pretty cool! We got to check out the crazy icicles, walk through the tunnels and sing songs from Frozen. I'm kidding about the singing part.

It was totally worth doing, although we wish we would have known to wear boots.( I'm sure the ground was the way it was for liability reasons.)

We grabbed dinner on the way home. That's not a huge deal, but them wanting to sit by each other was.

Goofballs.

behind the scenes

Bosten and I went on a field trip to the movie theater. We got to sit in the D Box seats to see how they work, watch previews and eat popcorn, go see where the movies project onto the screens, check out the IMAX screen, and go behind the concessions counter to see where/how everything is made.

He loved it and I thought it was pretty interesting too. We can't wait to go to another movie and tell dad and Kaden all about it.

sledding

We finally got some new snow so that we could try out the new sleds that we got for Christmas!

It was a total blast, and we can't wait for it to snow again!

catching up

We took a return to Best Buy and saw Derrick Favors from the Jazz. Kaden wasn't interested, but Bosten wanted his picture taken.

New Year's Eve we stayed home and watched college football, along with our traditional treat.

We went in a family date to Chuck E. Cheese during Christmas break.

Kaden lost another tooth! Pretty exciting stuff.

christmas

Christmas morning:

We opened gifts, played with our new toys and ate our traditional Christmas morning breakfast (cinnamon rolls and breakfast casserole).  Santa was very good to us.

Christmas afternoon:

We headed down to Lindsey's house and ate traditional Sheffield Christmas eve food...since we weren't together for Christmas eve (ham sandwiches, chips, dips, veggies, cheeseball, etc.)
