NEVER say never

Well, we did it....after saying it would never happen we got a van.
I really meant it all those times I said stuff like....

NEVER.

NOT GOING TO HAPPEN.

READ MY LIPS.

GREAT FOR THEM, NOT FOR ME.

I take it all back. While its not the coolest car in town, it sure is nice to have. So dang practical and so many great features.

Here it is in all its glory!

It has stow and go seating, which already has been quite handy.

Double sliding power doors.

We found it on KSL...its 3 years old and going to a great addition for our family!

A milestone

The flowers Kyle sent...notice the fire and ice roses? They're my favorite.

Kyle and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary last week (July 23rd).
While we've had some really HARD stuff, we've had lots of GOOD stuff and fun times. Here's some random things that have happened in the last 10 years (sorry there's no pictures to go with them....they're all on my packed computer!)
-HOUSES:
we've had 5 houses plus lived in an apartment
-JOBS:
we've had 6 jobs between us
me: Thriftway, Dr. B's (dental office)
kyle: Thriftway, Lincoln Memorial, Molalla Funeral Chapel, Russon Bro. Mortuary
-CARS:
we've had 7 cars
Kia, Civic, Blazer, 2 Accords, Grand Am, Van
-TRIPS:
we counted and have done at least 14 that we can remember
Maui (4 times), Disneyland (4 times) New York, Florida, Arizona (twice), Canada, Denmark (Kyle)...that doesn't count all the times we went to Utah, Oregon, and Colorado
-KIDS:
2 adorable boys
...plus a failed adoption, several almost adoptions, and a miscarriage

Its been an adventure! We hope the next 10 will be just as great!

Poor baby

This little monkey has had a hard week. First, he has ANOTHER ear infection. Seriously, how many can this poor kid get?! He's been pretty miserable and we've been up all night a couple of times this week. Thankfully, we got a referral for tubes and we have an appointment for the consultation when we get back from Oregon.
Then today, I found him with a peanut butter cracker in his mouth. No big deal...except that he's got HIVES all over his body. Seriously, they're all over. I think I remember hearing that there's a history of nut allergies with his birth mom's family. YIKES.

Kaden's new wheels

Kaden has been ready for a new bike for a long time. We kept putting him off...we didn't want to have to move a bike along with everything else. But, at long last it was time.

He calls himself the "Red Rocket". Won't be too long before those training wheels come off!

Moving day

Monday was moving day. The boys thought the truck was really exciting!

Fun on the 4th of July

We spent the 4th of July down in Riverton with all of my family. We had a really fun day! We took the kids to the Riverton Towne Days:
Cute boys with their 4th of July shirts. Pony ride

Bounced in the fun house

Ate popsicles

THEN we went over to the carnival for even more fun:

After we had treats we went back to Papa and Mimi's to do other fun stuff:

Fun snaps

Squirt guns with the cousins

A ride in the back of Papa's trailer

A neighborhood BBQ...mmmm.

After a long, fun day Bosten crashed before it got dark:

BUT, he woke up again just in time for the fun.

Kaden, his cousins, and some of the neighbor kids watching fireworks.

LOVE this. Kaden thought some of them were too loud. :)

We're alive

I've got lots of pictures to post, but unfortunately we're having technical difficulties at the moment. Hopefully will get it figured out this week....
Here's the latest:
-We have moved from Syracuse and are staying with my sister in Riverton while we figure stuff out. This was a hard move for both of us...not sure of all the reasons, but it may cause us to slow down on the whole moving thing (we realized this week that Kaden, who's 4, has lived in 3 different houses. Yikes.) Kyle's commute is a few minutes longer, but overall not as bad as expected.
-We're going on vacation to Oregon next week! We hope to visit family and friends, pick berries (we're hitting berry season just right!), sell lots of watches at the shows we're doing, and play at the beach.
-Kaden finally got a new bike. He's been dying for one, but we didn't want to move it. We promised as soon as we moved we'd get one. He's so THRILLED.
-Bosten thinks its really fun to not sleep through the night anymore. We're not so thrilled!
Hopefully I'll get the camera to cooperate and have lots of pictures soon.
