park city getaway

The boys have been begging to go stay at a hotel, and we figured that Spring Break was a good time for an overnight getaway.

Before we went to the hotel, we went to the Kimball Art Center for the Lego exhibit.  Pretty cool, especially for two little boys who love Legos.

Next, we went to dinner at Red Rock Brewery.
(You should know, that besides having a really good dinner, that was a HUGE deal for us.  Kaden is all about routines and doing things the same...which happens to be pizza when we go to Park City and to a hotel).

Finally, we went to the hotel, and got ready to swim.

So, so fun!

We snuggled, ate snacks, swam again, and had a really fun time.

fun at chuck e. cheese

The boys and I went on a lunch date one day during Spring Break.  Its a good thing we went early, because it got loud and crowded pretty fast.

We ate pizza, played games, redeemed tickets for prizes, and had fun being together.

the front yard

Working in the front yard has been waaay overdue (and its not that we haven't wanted to).

We finally had some decent weather, and we all went out and got to work.  I didn't really take pictures before we got started.  However, its probably safe to say that we were living in or near the jungle.

We still have a looong way to go, but it already looks so much better!  No more living in the jungle for us.

zoo!

We decided to take all of the kids to the zoo this week (minus the babies).

It was freezing when we got there, but by the time we left it had warmed up.

We had a great time, especially with our cousins!

easter fun

Our Easter was pretty low key this year.

The boys got new shirts for church, but no official Easter outfits.

They were happy to wake up and find eggs hidden all over the house.

They had to search a little bit for their treats.

They were excited to see what was inside:

They each got a movie:
Kaden:  Wreck it Ralph  Bosten:  Curious George

A new electric toothbrush
Teddy Bear Crackers
Cheetos
M&M candy egg
New T-shirts
Kaden:  Minecraft  Bosten:  Star Wars Angry birds

Then they opened all of the eggs to find jelly beans and money.

After church, we went to Mimi and Papa's house for dinner.  We had ham, scalloped potatoes, rolls, green beans, green salad, and a chocolate layered dessert.

Mimi and Papa hid eggs for all of the kids outside.  The treats started to melt inside the eggs, so it was a good thing they hadn't been outside for very long.

a slow death

Our refrigerator has been slowly dying over the past several months.  Actually, the fridge was fine, but the freezer was another story.  Our ice cream was really soft, the bread not frozen, etc.  Thankfully, we recently decided to get a home warranty.  We had someone come out to take a look at it, and they told us pretty much what we thought.  It was time for a new one.

It is super exciting when the RC Willey truck rolls up to our house.

The boys thought it was a little crazy when they took the front door off, so that they could move things in and out a little easier.

But, it was all worth it and we love the new one.
